Dan Stevens - Radio - Readings from the King James Bible

Readings from the King James Bible will be broadcast on 9 January and made available as a podcast. BBC Radio 4 has provided programme information for the first seven episodes, and Dan's readings are as follows:
Episode 1 (8.45am) "Sodom and Gomorrah"
Episode 6 (9pm) "Entry into Jerusalem"

Sam read extracts from some of Barry Humphries' favourite books on Open Book last week (via his Twitter, @exitthelemming).

He narrated Private Life of a Masterpiece "The Adoration of the Christ Child", which is available on iPlayer until 1 January (via his Twitter, @exitthelemming).

Dan Stevens - The Story of Christmas

On 16 December, Dan participated in The Story of Christmas appeal: he donated a set visit for four people to the next series of Downton Abbey, he was a reader at the event, and he sold one lot at the auction (via his Twitter, @thatdanstevens).

Sam is currently filming Law & Order: UK. He plays Warren Lloyd (United Agents). ITV has commissioned 13 new episodes which will likely be broadcast as 'series 5' and 'series 6' in 2011 (ATV).

The Private Life of a Christmas Masterpiece "The Mystic Nativity" will be broadcast in Australia on ABC1 this Sunday at 10.10pm.

The Belarus Free Theatre has uploaded a video of Sam making an appeal at its Youtube channel.

Sam plays Liss in the BBC Radio 4 drama Life and Fate, an adaptation of Vassily Grossman's novel. It will be broadcast in early 2011 (United Agents, BBC). An update from Sam's Twitter:

British Independent Film Awards

Carey Mulligan, Ralph Fiennes, Colin Firth, Andrea Riseborough, Rosamund Pike, Ruth Wilson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Matthew Goode, Romola Garai, and Jason Isaacs attended the British Independent Film Awards. Carey won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a British Independent Film (Never Let Me Go) and Colin won the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a British Independent Film (The King's Speech).

Samuel West - Theatre - A Number

A Number has been nominated for a whatsonstage.com award - the Leicester Square Theatre Best Off-West End Production. Voting closes at the end of January and winners will be announced 20 February at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

British Independent Film Awards, Merlin UK, La Soiree, BBC Radio.

MAC Cosmetics has issued a press release regarding sponsorship of the British Independent Film Awards, which will take place on 5 December. Andrea Riseborough (nominee for Best Actress) and Ruth Wilson will have their make up for the event applied by MAC artists.

Hugh Bonneville, a patron of the medical aid agency Merlin, recently went to Liberia as part of the Times Christmas Appeal. He has written an article in the Times about his trip.

Sam talks about cuts to arts funding towards the end of this video from the Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

Earlier this week, the False Economy website launched (via tuc.org.uk). Sam presents the video "Why cuts are the wrong cure" which can be viewed on the False Economy website or its Youtube channel.

Sam will sing in Vignette Arts' production of Handel's Messiah in St John's, Downshire Hill tonight at 7.30pm (via his Twitter, @exitthelemming).
